Half-Life 2: Have a Medkit is a sketch that satirizes the Half-Life 2 Resistance NPCs.

Description: "Humanity may be scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to resistance fighters, but at least they're trying."

Actor Character
Kyle Sullivan Gordon Freeman
Ian Conn Resistance Medic
Cesar Riojas Resistance Fighter
Devlin Hyatt Resistance Ammo Manager

The video begins with Gordon and the Resistance entering a room, fighting several headcrabs. After the engagement is over, the team's Medic offers Freeman a medkit, though the scientist quickly stops him; he then asks for how many medkits did he provide him that day. The Medic sheepishly responds that he wasn't counting.

Freeman points at one of the Resistance Members, who is badly injured, and says that he's dying. The healer, however, implies that Freeman is more important, claiming that he's "like Jesus". The scientist confirms it, and says that, "like Jesus", he has a suit of armor that constantly injects him with morphine. Gordon then questions the Medic's competence, asking if he even knows how to use a medkit. The Medic goes silent, and touches the armor with the health pack, making a "clang". After a few more failed attempts, the man finally responds with "no".

Gordon, exasperated, queries on why he is the medic; the healer simply replies that it's because he has the armband with the cross. The medic and the ammo manager are then asked to switch jobs, to which they halfheartedly obey.

A few hours later, the ex-Medic (now Ammo Manager) is seen behind a fence, screaming Freeman's name. The doctor tries to ignore the yelling, but after several moments, he gives in and asks for what is it. The Manager reminds him to reload, though Gordon simply responds: "I have a crowbar!"

The sketch ends.
