Synopsis[edit]

The video begins with Joey and Jefferey introducing themselves to any listeners of their radio show - The Jefferey and Joey Show. Joey starts by commenting about how there's no traffic, to which Ethan, who's watching the two by the side, responds by saying that living people are required for traffic. Jefferey comments that, despite the non-existant traffic, he still got late due to not noticing that he was carrying 400 pounds of ammo. Ethan quietly remarks that he misses the times when he could carry an infinite amount of weight for 400 hours, while Joey adds by saying that he used to be able to survive without eating or drinking.

Jefferey goes back on-topic and talks for a while about a death trap and a hollow tape he found. Ethan asks for how did he get it, and although Jefferey tries to answer that he was talking to another human, Ethan doesn't buy it, questioning if that human was even alive. The tape is played, and the voice coming through it asks to be buried with his teddy bear, prompting Gelinas to conclude that he's definitely dead.

The trio moves on to discussing whether or not they have live listeners. Ethan argues that anyone who's still out there has more important things to do than to listen to a radio show. Joey, however, mildly ignores him and asks for any would-be listeners to make a call. Surely enough, the phone rings, and Neely picks it up. Joey happily comments that it is the first call of the day, though Ethan corrects him: year. Jefferey asks for how alive is the caller, though he is only answered by noise and muffled screams. While they listen to the answer, Joey and Jefferey's smiles falter.

Basham then invites the listeners to come by the radio station for a giveaway, while Jefferey tries to change the topic by describing an "adventure" he had with some "friends". Gelinas points out that his friends aren't actually people, but Neely doesn't seem to mind. The two hosts then try to brighten up the conversation by talking about previous events or plans for a rescue mission to find actual living people, though Ethan just says that they're all dead and goes on a rant about how there's no reason for that show to even exist.

Suddenly, a mysterious man enters the room, and Joey greets him, saying that he's the giveaway winner. Neely asks for his name, and when the man opens his mouth, only distorted noise comes out.

The sketch ends.

Explained Jokes[edit]

  • In previous Fallout games, there was no carry weight for ammo nor a system for hunger/thirst.
  • When Joey comments that their call is the first call of the day, Ethan corrects him by saying "year", suggesting that it's been a long time since someone has ever contacted them.
  • The distorted noise coming from the mysterious man's mouth is a joke about people being obnoxious and playing loud noises over the mic.
